Regulations

The A.S.D. PODISTICA PERALTO GENOVA (FIDAL code GE456), under the aegis of the Italian Athletics Federation and, in collaboration and patronage of the Municipality of Genoa, the Patronage of the Region of Liguria, the Metropolitan City, and CONI, is organizing and organizing the 19th edition of the Genoa International Half Marathon athletics road running event, over the distance of 21.097 km (Half Marathon) included in the FIDAL national calendar and classified Bronze.

TIMETABLE PROGRAM

The event will be held on 13/04/2025
Departure time: 09:00 a.m. in Via della Mercanzia - Caricamento area - adjacent to the Old Port of Genoa
Arrival: Porto Antico di Genova - Piazzale Mandraccio

ROUTE CHARACTERISTICS

The competition is held over the distance of:

- Male: km 21,097 certifiedFIDAL
- Female: km. 21.097 FIDAL certified

Maximum time: 3.00h

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

According to the provisions of the "Rules for the Organization of Events" issued by FIDAL, athletes registered in Italy may participate limited to persons 18 years of age and older (thousandth of age) who meet one of the following requirements:

1) ITALIAN AND FOREIGN ATHLETES RESIDING IN ITALY

- FIDAL registered athletes with valid membership on the date of the race;

- Athletes in possession of a valid Runcard on the date of the race (valid as sports insurance and permission to compete), limited to people from 20 (thousandth of age). The Runcard for Italian residents costs € 30.00 (€ 15 for those who are members of a Sports Promotion Body - Runcard Eps -) and must be purchased independently at www.runcard.com. After purchase, the card is sent digitally (via e-mail) along with the application for the medical examination to be delivered to the sports doctor. Participation is, however, subject to sending/presenting at the time of registration the medical certificate of agonistic fitness specific for athletics, valid on the date of the race.

2) ITALIAN ATHLETES LIVING ABROAD

It is necessary to be in possession of the Runcard valid on the date of the race, (valid as sports insurance and permission to compete), limited to persons from 20 years (thousandth of age). The Runcard for foreign residents costs €15.00 and must be purchased independently at www.runcard.com. After the purchase, the card is sent digitally (via e-mail), together with the application for the medical examination to be delivered to the sports doctor, Participation is still subject to sending/presenting at the time of registration the medical certificate of agonistic fitness specific for athletics, valid on the date of the race, being an Italian citizen you are required to provide a certificate issued in Italy.

3) FOREIGN ATHLETES RESIDING ABROAD

It is necessary to be in possession of the Runcard valid on the date of the race (valid as sports insurance and permission to compete), limited to people from 20 years (thousandth of age), the Runcard for foreign residents costs € 15.00 and must be purchased independently at www.runcard.com. After purchase, the card is sent digitally (via e-mail). The medical certificate for nonresident foreigners can be issued in their own country, but the same examinations required by Italian regulations must have been performed:

(a) medical examination;
(b) complete urine examination;
(c) electrocardiogram at rest and after exercise;
(d) spirography.

4) ATHLETES WITH FOREIGN FEDERATION CARD

Italian/foreign athletes not registered in Italy in possession of membership cards of Clubs affiliated with Foreign Athletics Federations recognized by World Athletics may participate. At the time of registration they must alternatively submit self-certification of possession of the card recognized by World Athletics. The self-certification should then, however, be signed in original at the time of bib collection (download the self-certification here).

  • Online: until April 9, 2025 (until 11:00 p.m.) through the ENDU portal with payment by credit card or bank transfer using the details made available at the end of the registration process
  • Offline: At the Genova Running store (Via Cipro, 47/49, 16129 Genova) from January 1, 2025 until March 31, 2025

TIMING AND RANKINGS

Measurement of times and processing of rankings is by EvoData - Timing @Data Solutions.
These are validated by the Technical Delegate Judge/Appellate Judge.

The total prize money for the event is €4,000.00.

AWARDS

Prizes will be awarded to the top five overall men and women, the top five Italian and Italian (prizes can be combined with the overall prize money) and the top three finishers as per FIDAL categories (*).

- The award ceremonies for the top five overall and top five Italian will take place on the day of the event at about 11 a.m. at the stage in the finish area, and then awards will be given to the top 3 most numerous Companies.

- Category prizes consist of free entries to the next edition of the Genoa Half Marathon.

The disbursement of prize money is done in a manner that complies with IAAF rules and the laws of the Italian state.

25% of the prize money actually awarded to the top finishers is reserved for Italian and "Italian-equivalent" athletes and can be combined with prizes awarded by ranking position.

In races over the half-marathon distance, the prize money dedicated to Italians may not be awarded for men's chronometric performances over 1h11'00 and women's over 1h23'00.

No prize money (or assimilated facts: generic value vouchers, bonuses, engagements, reimbursement of expenses of any kind and for any reason) can be provided for athletes in the categories Rookies, Juniors, Cadets, Pupils, for "Runcard" and "Runcard EPS" holders.

PAYMENT OF PREMIUMS

Prizes are to be considered gross of Italian taxation. All prizes won will be taxed as per current regulations and will be paid by bank transfer upon signing the Self-Attestation that will be given to the awardees. No prize money will be paid on the day of the competition. Prizes will be paid within 60 days from the date of the event.

WITH REGISTRATION, THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS THE FOLLOWING SERVICES
- Medical assistance by the Local Committee of the Italian Red Cross;
- Official participation medal (for athletes ranked at the finish line);
- Event race packet;
- Race bib with integrated chip;

 OTHER AWARDS.
- Expense reimbursement of € 150.00 to all companies from over 100 km with a minimum of 40 entries in the various races.

BAG STORAGE SERVICE

The bag storage service will be arranged at the Piazza delle Feste at the Old Port of Genoa. It is advised not to leave personal belongings (keys, cell phone, wallet, metal objects, etc.) inside the bags. While we guarantee the utmost care in bag storage, the organization will not be responsible for any theft.

AND MAIL

All those who indicate the email address, immediately after the race will receive emails with the ranking of the race.

DIPLOMA OF PARTICIPATION

All finishers will be able to download and print their participation diploma on the website www.lamezzadigenova.it

LIMIT TIME.

The time limit to finish the race is set at 3 hours.
Entirely flat course and the entire area will be closed to traffic and manned by Municipal Police and Volunteers until the last competitor in the race passes.

COMPLAINTS

Any complaints must be filed in accordance with FIDAL and R.T.I. regulations.

FAILURE

If the race is canceled and / or, however, not held for reasons not dependent and / or not attributable to the will of the organizers, including the revocation of the authorization to hold by the competent public bodies, the member will have nothing to claim from ASD Podistica Peralto or other co-organizers, not even by way of reimbursement of expenses incurred and those incurred by validating the signing of the application for registration also as a waiver of any claim for damages and / or compensation and / or any claim reinstatement and / or satisfactory of any pecuniary loss suffered and being suffered.

NON-PARTICIPATION

In case of non-participation in the race, registration fees are not refundable under any circumstances. However, the athlete unable to participate in the race will be offered two alternatives to be reported by March 31, 2025 to the registration department lamezzadigenova@evodata.it.

  • Transfer registration to the 20th edition of the Genoa Half upon payment of €10 for secretarial fees. It is possible to take advantage of the transfer facility to the next edition only once. The transfer of registration to the 2026 edition cannot be combined with other fare concessions and transfers that took place the previous year.
  • Transfer the registration to another athlete upon payment of €10 for secretarial fees and return of the confirmation letter received. The person registered as a replacement will have to fill out the registration form from scratch. It is possible to take advantage of the facility of transfer to another athlete only in the 2024 edition and in any case only once. The transfer of enrollment to the 2026 edition cannot be combined with other fare concessions and transfers that occurred in the previous year.
VARIATIONS

The organizers may, at any time, change these regulations for the better organization of the event and/or for reasons of force majeure. Any changes in times, services and locations will be communicated to participants on the official website of the event www.lamezzadigenova.it

FINAL WARNINGS

For all matters not covered by these regulations, the FIDAL and G.G.G. technical and statutory regulations apply. Any changes to services, venues and times will be appropriately communicated to registered athletes or will be posted on the website www.lamezzadigenova.it  In addition, documentation containing essential information for taking part in the race will be delivered by the organization along with the bib.

RIGHT OF IMAGE

By registering for the Genoa Half Marathon, the athlete expressly authorizes the organizers of the Genoa Half Marathon to have the right, together with media partners, to use the personal data, still or moving images on which he or she may appear, taken on the occasion of his or her participation in the Genoa Half Marathon, on all media, including promotional and/or advertising materials, throughout the world and for the maximum time provided for by the laws, regulations, and treaties in force, including any extension that may be made to the period provided.

DECLARATION OF LIABILITY

By registering for the Genoa 2025 Half Marathon, I declare that I am familiar with and abide by these regulations, which will be published on the website www.lamezzadigenova.it. I am aware that participating in the 2025 Genoa Half Marathon and/or sporting events in general is potentially a risky activity. I further declare that I am registering voluntarily and am also responsible in the case of registration of a minor, of whom I am the parent or legal guardian, by me. I assume the risks arising from my participation in the event I therefore declare that I renounce, now and for the future, on my own behalf and on behalf of the minor whose parent or legal guardian I am, any claim and indemnity in connection with the above I also expressly declare under my own responsibility, not only that I have declared the truth (art. 2 law 04/01/1968 no. 15 as amended by art. 3 paragraph 10 law 15/05/1997 no. 127), but to exonerate the organizers from all liability, both civil and criminal, for damages to persons and/or property caused by him or derived from him.

INFORMATION ART. 13 DLGS 196/2003 - Protection of privacy

Pursuant to art. 13 Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30/06/2003 with the registration to the Genoa 2025 Half Marathon the athlete expressly authorizes the organizers of the Genoa Half Marathon, to the processing of personal and personal data provided, data that will be used exclusively by ASD Podistica Peralto a will be processed by manual, computer and telematic tools with logic strictly related to the purpose of the assignment. In addition, with the registration to the Corri Genova or the Genoa Half Marathon, the data processing will also take place for the following additional purposes, but always in accordance with the principles of correctness, lawfulness and transparency and the protection of confidentiality. The data may be used by ASD Podistica Peralto or sa Partner Companies related to it for the Genoa Half Marathon event (such as sponsors) for the purpose of promoting product or services of ASD Podistica Peralto or such Companies. The Corri Genova by About 13km is a non-competitive running race organized by the ASD Podistica Peralto Genova, as a side event to the Genoa International Half Marathon. The rankings will not be compiled in order of finish but in alphabetical order with the final times of each participant.

At Corri Genova 2025, the minimum age for participation is 15 years old as long as they are registered and/or accompanied by a parent

The Family Run of about 3km is a non-competitive walk organized by ASD Podistica Peralto Genova as a side event to the Genoa International Half Marathon. Minors are allowed to participate as long as they are registered and/or accompanied by a parent.

Solidarity bibs

To the non-profit associations included in the MdG for Charity project that will have submitted a project
inherent to their activity will be assigned a code that, at the time of registration, can be indicated; at the end of the event, based on the balance of registrations, the organization will donate to each association a cash-back fee of € 3.00 for each registration matched to the individual code. The amount collected for each individual association will be the object of a donation by ASD Podistica Peralto.
