Genoa International Half Marathon

The Genoa Half Marathon is run on a breathtaking course with departure and arrival in the Old Port.

Athletes will be able to admire the main places of interest of the city: the Aquarium of Genoa, the central square (Piazza De Ferrari), the seaside village of Boccadasse, the 19th-century Via XX Settembre and the Sopraelevata road, which for one day will be reserved only for runners.

The competitions

The event consists of three races, two running and one dedicated to families.

The running races, namely the International Half Marathon (21 km) and the Corri Genova (13 km), take place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, while the family-friendly race, the Family Run, takes place on Saturday, April 18, at 3 p.m.

To ensure maximum comfort for participants, intermediate refreshments will be provided. A final refreshment will welcome all participants at the end of the races.

Here are the methods of enrollment:

  • Online Single entry: until April 15, 2026 (until 11:59 p.m.) through the ENDU portal with payment by credit card or bank transfer using the details made available at the end of the registration process.
  • Online For group registrations until March 31, 2026 (from a minimum of 5 members) use the Endu-groups section on the membership portal.
  • Offline: At the Genova Running store (Via Cipro, 47/49, 16129 Genova) from December 20, 2025 until April 12, 2026

For the Half Marathon:

- If you are not registered with any society and are 20 years of age or older, you must apply through the runcard.com the Runcard which you must present at registration along with a valid athletics medical certificate for competitive athletics on the date of the race.

- If you are a member of a Sports Promotion Body and turned 20 years old, you must apply through the runcard.com the Runcard Eps which you must submit at the time of registration along with your competitive athletics medical certificate.

- If you are a foreigner and a member of a club affiliated with Foreign Athletics Federations recognized by the IAAF, you must present The self-certification of possession of card.

- If you are a non-member foreigner, you must apply through the runcard.com the Runcard which you must submit at registration along with your certificate of fitness for competitive athletics

For Corri Genova:

The Corri Genova is non-competitive race so you can participate even if you are not a card-carrying member and do not have a medical certificate.

For Family Run:

The Family Run is non-competitive race so you can participate even if you are not a card-carrying member and do not have a medical certificate.

Warning:

To participate in the Half Marathon (21.097 km), a competitive medical certificate with the specific athletics discipline is required.

Endorsements related to other sports (e.g. Triathlon) will not be accepted.

In the absence of this indication, the company verifying the documentation will not be able to proceed with registration.

Participants residing abroad

If you reside outside Italy, your medical certificate can be issued in your country, but it must include the same examinations required by Italian regulations:

  • Medical examination
  • Complete urine examination
  • Electrocardiogram at rest and after exercise
  • Spirometry

Yes, for the Mezza di Genova (minimum 5 components) and Corri Genova (minimum 5 components).

In order to allow all runners to run safely, we have planned to ban running (and parking) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following streets:

The departure and arrival of Half Marathon and Corri Genova are planned in the Porto Antico area of Genoa.
 
The Family Run, on the other hand, departs from Piazzale Terminal dei Traghetti and arrives at Genoa's Old Port

For the Half Marathon pacemakers recognizable by clothing and marked by appropriate balloons will be present to finish the race in:

NB In the affiliated parking lots you will get 50% discount by inserting the card "The Mezza di Genova" that you will have to request at the time of bib pickup.

After inserting the parking ticket picked up at the parking lot entrance, insert the card "The Mezza di Genova" and automatically the payment rate will be halved.

  • Caesarea Street for the purpose of smoother circulation of vehicular traffic and limited to the needs related to the holding of the event in question, in the stretch of road between Via Macaggi and Via Ippolito d'Aste, a one-way traffic direction is temporarily established with the direction allowed from sea to upstream.
